Genting Malaysia Berhad’s leisure and hospitality operations reported a commendable 22 percent increase in revenues, totaling MYR2.71 billion (US$577 million) in Q1 2024. Despite the positive outlook, Genting Malaysia Berhad acknowledges challenges, including potential competition in the US region. However, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to driving growth and profitability.

Analysts Tushar Muhata and Alpa Aggarwal noted a quarter-on-quarter increase in net income, driven by unexpected EBITDA margin improvement in Malaysia and revenue growth in the US. However, they anticipate EBITDA margins at Resorts World Genting to compress throughout 2024 due to cost normalization and other factors.Come from Online Betting Site

Inside Asian Gaming reports that Genting Malaysia Berhad remains cautious about the near-term prospects of the leisure and hospitality industry but maintains a positive outlook in the longer term. The company expects the regional gaming market to continue improving, supported by optimistic international tourism outlooks and ongoing tourism-related measures.

Resorts World Genting and Genting Malaysia Berhad’s impressive Q1 performances reflect their resilience and strategic initiatives amid market challenges, positioning them for sustained growth in the evolving landscape of the leisure and hospitality industry.

This one is bigger, badder, and filled with highly volatile, turbo-charged entertainment. There are more features in the base game, more features in the bonus game and to top it all off, a 40,000x max win.”

Sportradar AG highlights the growing prevalence of match-fixing

Sports data intelligence specialist Sportradar AG is warning against the dangers of match-fixing after its Sportradar Integrity Services subsidiary last year detected suspicious activities surrounding a record 903 contests.

The Swiss enterprise used an official press release to detail that the concerning figure uncovered by the Universal Fraud Detection System bet monitoring service was the highest in its 17-year history and represented a rise of 2.4% when compared with the 882 dubious transactions uncovered for the whole of 2019.

Lucrative lawlessness:

St Gallen-headquartered Sportradar AG disclosed that the findings of its most recent investigation into suspected instances of match-fixing have been laid out in its new Betting Corruption and Match-Fixing in 2021 report as aggregated global sportsbetting handle for the twelve months hit an estimated €1.45 trillion ($1.61 trillion)Venir de Tragamonedas Gratis Online. The authority also stated that last year’s suspected cheating is thought to have generated in the region of €165 million ($182 million) for illicit syndicates although the true figure could be much higher if ‘other potential financial schemes such as money laundering’ are included.

Powerful penalties:

Andreas Krannich serves as the Managing Director for Sportradar Integrity Services and he used the press release to proclaim that his organization is committed ‘to protecting the integrity of global sport’ and last year cooperated with partners to support 65 sanctions. The analyst divulged that these had been delivered in eleven nations across tennis and soccer while additionally encompassing eight lifetime athlete bans.Venir de Tragamonedas Gratis Online

Read a statement from Krannich…

“There is no easy short-term solution to the match-fixing issue and we’re likely to see similar numbers of suspicious matches in 2022 if not more. As the market has developed, so the threat of match-fixing has evolved while would-be corruptors are now taking an increasingly direct approach to match-fixing and betting corruption with athletes being messaged directly via social media platforms.”

Football failures:

Sportradar AG noted that its probe found that soccer was the sport most at risk of falling victim to suspected instances of match-fixing last year courtesy of a rate of one in every 201 fixtures in advance of eSports and basketball with associated ratios of 1/384 and 1/498 respectively. The specialist went on to explain that lower-level football competitions had the highest levels of potential cheating with 50% of all cases having involved domestic games from below the second tier including youth and regional action.

Troublesome times:

The Betting Corruption and Match-Fixing in 2021 investigation furthermore laid out the fact that September and October had last year hosted the highest instances of suspected match-fixing at 105 and 104 respectively with these months corresponding with the traditional start to the European soccer season. Finally, the probe uncovered that most alleged cheating at 22.5% had taken place on a Sunday followed by Wednesdays at 16.8% and Saturdays with 15.6%.

The statement from Krannich read…

“At Sportradar AG, we believe in adopting a progressive approach to integrity protection through bet monitoring and intelligence gathering. This has been proven to deliver sanctions against those involved in match-fixing while preventative measures such as educating athletes and stakeholders are also crucially important in the long-term fight against match-fixing.”

Stakelogic secures B2B gaming license for Ukrainian market

After recently expanding its product range into live casino, StakeLogic B.V. is now among the first suppliers approved to provide its iGaming services in Ukraine, under the Eastern European country’s new B2B licensing conditions introduced earlier this year.

Its business offering having been reviewed by The Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries in Ukraine (KRAIL), the online casino games developer was issued a supplier license for the newly-regulated market and will be able to offer its services in the jurisdiction once tax legislation has been agreed upon.

Bill 2713-D:

Signed into law by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in August 2020, after bill, 2285-D, skated through the Verkhovna Rada in a 248-95 vote, bookmaking, slots, and land-based casino gaming will be legal, however, casinos are only to be located in hotels.

Licensing conditions for B2B licenses for gambling suppliers were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in Ukraine on March 31, 2021, which followed the relaunch of gambling in Europe’s second-largest country after Russia.

Expectations for region:

“The Ukrainian market has been on our radar for some time, with leading CIS market experts tipping it to be the territory with the greatest potential in the region. We are delighted to announce that the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries in Ukraine (KRAIL) has reviewed our business offering and awarded us one of the first B2B licenses in the country.

“Our past experiences working with the regulators in other, strict territories such as the UK, ensured we were prepared for all eventualities in Ukraine and we’re pleased to announce that we passed all the requirements laid before us,” said Stakelogic chief executive Stephen van den Oetelaar,” said Stakelogic Chief Executive Officer Stephan van den Oetelaar.

Adding to the official press release, the CEO said they are looking forward to working with the Ukrainian regulator and its licensed operators to bring its “hugely popular” suite of games, as well as its brand-new live casino product, to players in Ukraine.

Jurisdictional approvals:

The Dutch online casino content creator’s games suite has also been approved by the UK Gambling Commission, Romanian National Gambling Office ONJN, and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), while Stakelogic’s collection of video slots will also be available to Ukrainian players following the successful application process.

Hit titles such as the collaboration with Greenlogic partner Touchstone Games, Giant’s Fortune Megaways, along with the recently launched Black Gold 2 Megaways, the collection of Super State games, and the newly announced live casino product offering, which features roulette, blackjack, and various gameshows, have all been approved by KRAIL for the Ukrainian market.Venir de Tragamonedas Gratis Online

In Nevada and the Station Casinos brand of prominent land-based casino operator Red Rock Resorts Incorporated has reportedly arranged to pay an $80,000 fine for serious past glitches in the sportsbook within its Red Rock Resort property.

According to a Thursday report from The Nevada Independent newspaper, the settlement was agreed with the Nevada Gaming Control Board regulator some two weeks ago before being unanimously approved yesterday by the five-member Nevada Gaming Commission.

Egregious error:

Las Vegas-headquartered Station Casinos was reportedly hit with the penalty in September after the sportsbook inside its 796-room Red Rock Resort venue was adjudged to have accepted approximately 348 wagers on events whose outcomes were already known. This practice, which is colloquially known as ‘past posting’, is purportedly not permitted in Nevada while the operator had initially planned to contest the fine by claiming that neither its patrons or the state had been financially impacted by these infractions.Come from ph646slot

Comprehensive consideration:

Jennifer Togliatti (pictured) serves as the Chair for the Nevada Gaming Commission and she reportedly disclosed that her body was obliged to review some of the documents submitted by Station Casinos because the firm had originally intended to challenge the complaint. The regulator purportedly detailed that these had encompassed specifications of the still-to-be-certified sportsbetting platform from GAN Limited that in October replaced the Stadium Technology Group-supplied system previously utilized by Red Rock Resort.

Togliatti reportedly stated…

“I have had the occasion to have some understanding of how we got here and I don’t have any issues with the resolution of this matter.”

Repeat responsibility:

In the settlement arrangement, Station Casinos reportedly asserted that it had ‘self-reported’ all of the offending ‘past posting’ instances and the state ‘was not deprived of any tax revenues’ while the software replacement move constituted a ‘very significant financial commitment’. Nevertheless, the Nevada Gaming Commission purportedly noted that this affair represented the fourth time the operator had been found culpable for such violations since 2018 although it still issued 167 wagering tickets in January that were later voided with the bets refunded.Come from Lodigame777

Preceding perpetrator:

The Nevada Independent reported that the fine levied against Station Casinos was far below the $2 million penalty, which encompassed a $250,000 punishment from the Nevada Council on Problem Gaming, the Nevada Gaming Commission levied against sportsbook operator CG Technology Holding in 2018 for similar shortcomings. This purportedly came around two years after this same enterprise had been hit with a $1.5 million sanction, which led to the resignation of the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Lee Amaitis, as well as the imposition of a $5.5 million reprimand in 2014.

Changed Regulatons in the UK Gambling Industry Due to Increased Use of Smartphones and Apps

On Thursday, the UK government announced the changes in the gambling industry in the country. The changes in the £14 billion ($17 billion) worth industry with a growing problem of addiction to smartphones in recent few years.

The increased popularity of gambling:

After the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies that provide online betting and gambling services noticed an increase in profit and the number of active players. Some of the companies with the biggest increase are Ladbrokes and Coral brands, as well as Flutter Entertainment, which owns famous brands Paddy Power and Betfair.

The concern has been raised for a few recent years, but a long time has passed before the white paper is published. The main reason behind its publication is the necessity of banning various gambling companies’ ads since their impact on society grew, and the number of suicides among gambling addicts increased due to the companies’ allowance of their huge debts.

As a consequence of that, even English Premier League football clubs withdrew from collaboration with gambling companies and decided to remove the logos of the companies from the players’ shirts for the following three seasons.

Smartphones and apps were a potent tool when it came to drawing more players to the gambling apps and allowed players to easily spend money on gambling and casino games. TV ads also increased the popularity of gambling by promoting minute-by-minute odds.

Strict regulations:

Among the measures that will be taken is limiting the online stakes between £2 and £15. Additionally, the companies will get the right to take down the illegal betting websites whose number increased recently and to deal with many unauthorized operators. When it comes to the bonus offers, many restrictions will be introduced, and players under 25 will be more protected than before.

The companies allowed the players to accumulate their debts and decided to overlook the problem gambling issues, which led to further increasing the problem.

Lucy Frazer, the Culture Secretary, said: “When gambling becomes an addiction, it can wreck livesCome from vpbet. Shattered families, lost jobs, foreclosed homes, jail time, suicide.”

After new changes are approved, the companies will have to invest more money into research and education for problem gambling and addiction, as well as into treatments that will help the players. Various background checks will have to be conducted in order to protect the customers.

Online slot games will be under the limit, so they match the land-based slot machines. However, the companies won’t be all alone during the process. The Gambling Commission will provide the companies with various resources to help them fight the issue.

Is the process delayed:Come from top646casino

Despite the companies’ approval of the white paper, activists think that the government deliberately delayed the process.

Louise Davies, charity Christian Action Research and Education representative, said: “With further delay, families of the bereaved and people locked in the teeth of addiction have been snubbed yet again. There is no need for further consultation on measures that are broadly supported, such as a statutory levy and affordability checks. We need legislation.”

Warhorse Gaming LLC granted pair of provisional Nebraska casino licenses

In the American state of Nebraska and WarHorse Gaming LLC has reportedly been granted provisional permission to bring large racetrack-based casinos to the cities of Omaha and Lincoln.

According to a Thursday report from the Sioux City Journal newspaper, the consent means that the enterprise of the federally-recognized Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska will now be able to begin work on casinos for the jurisdiction’s existing Horsemen’s Park and Lincoln Race Course facilities. This purportedly comes approximately 19 months after local voters approved a measure to allow racetracks across ‘The Cornhusker State’ to offer Las Vegas-style entertainment including slots and gaming tables.

Interim interest:

WarHorse Gaming LLC reportedly revealed last week that it had asked the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission for the pair of casino licenses while continuing to examine the possibility of opening a third such venue within the Atokad Park horseracing complex in the community of South Sioux City. As part of this certification process and the operator was purportedly able to simultaneously apply for 90-day provisional authorizations that allow it to secure financing, bring in equipment and commence construction.

Summer start:

Lance Morgan serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s Ho-Chunk Incorporated concern and he explained that WarHorse Gaming LLC is now looking forward to partnering with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association in order to bring casinos to the sites in Omaha and Lincoln. The figure moreover disclosed that the five-year Nebraska gambling licenses could be awarded by the end of July to enable the enterprise to immediately debut temporary gambling-friendly facilities while construction continues.

Reportedly read a Thursday Facebook post from Morgan…

“Good news, we got the provisional licenses for the Omaha and Lincoln casinos. Now we can take the next steps to get open.”

Lincoln layout:

For her part and the Executive Vice-President for the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association, Lynne McNally, reportedly divulged that the envisioned WarHorse Casino at Lincoln Race Course facility could now be open from as soon as June of 2024. She purportedly went on to note that this $220 million project is scheduled to feature a 196-room hotel, several restaurants, a spa, an events space and a casino with as many as 1,200 slots.

Omaha optimism:

Some 63 miles away in the city of Omaha and McNally reportedly announced that WarHorse Gaming LLC is hoping to bring a similarly-sized facility to the 63-acre Horsemen’s Park development. However, she purportedly stated that the operator will look to preface this premiere by opening a temporary facility featuring 800 slots about ten months after the start of construction.

The initial focus of this collaboration will be on key North American markets, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Quebec. As the partnership gains traction, Velvix and ODDSworks have ambitious plans for expansion into Ontario, Mexico, and Columbia, tapping into the burgeoning online gaming demand in these regions.

In May, Velvix actively pursued the Asian market, particularly Vietnam and the Philippines, as part of its strategic expansion. Collaborating with Jade Gaming in the Philippines, Velvix aimed to leverage its success in North America and plans to launch an initial product catalog in June, signaling a broader push into the rapidly growing Asian gaming market.

Velvix also recently entered the California gaming scene through a partnership with Chicken Ranch Casino in Jamestown, introducing its titles West Wanted and Battle Mania to the venue. Chicken Ranch Casino’s director of gaming, Christoph Phipps, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, citing the games’ compatibility with the property. Velvix’s expansion into California follows its recent ventures in Oklahoma and adds to its growing global presence.
